Carman, Manitoba is a small town southeast of Winnipeg. John F. Grant brought his many children and followers from Montana to Carman after he sold his ranch in Deer Lodge Montana to Conrad Khors. Here, he met and married Clotilde Bruneau and established a homestead.

On July 15, 2012, the MacRobbie Grants of Trois-Rivieres visited the Carman museum, John and Clotilde's old farmhouse and the Boyne School House. The house is crumbling and the only reason it stays upright is that trees have been allowed to grow right beside it. There is a big mural in Carmen which features a painting of John and Clotilde.

Most of these pictures were taken by Anita Grant Steele.
